emo is a state of being emotional. it has nothing to do with clothing, music, none of that b/s. kids turn it around. emo was created in the late 70's. that's when everyone actually started to show how real feeling can destroy someone.

Emo is a subgenre of Hardcore Punk
or Emotionally charged punk music.
it's mostly just high pitch screams with 3 chord riffs

Emo, "emotional"...is just a nother trendy term for teenage angst ridden alternative crap. We had the Cure in the 80's.....but they've got to call it something new...so they feel like they've done it first.

"emo" comes from emotional. It's basically a genre of punk but with a more pop/softer side to it.

its like, lets take punk, cancel out everything punk was created for, make the music a bunch lamer, and concentrate more on how we look and smell, than how hardcore we are...thats emo

Emo is just a stupid way of rock, It sucks, I love rock music but that is just horrible.
