Baldness is heredity. Prince Phillip is bald. Prince Charle, Prince Edward and Prince William are all bald.

So why aren't Prince Andrew and Prince Harry?

Um... I can see from a couple of answers below that some of you don't have a clue who these guys are.

Prince Andrew is in his 30s, and he is the Queen's son.

Prince Harry is about 20 now, and is Diana's son.

Get it? Neither of them are teenagers.

To make it a bit clearer, this question is really about who their fathers are...

2 people with the same recessive gene have a baby. That baby grows up & becomes bald because he got 2 copies of that gene. The next one doesn't(He only got 1 copy of the gene). If the original couple has 4 kids, maybe 1 or 2 go bald. for some reason, red-headed guys usually don't go bald (1 copy). Females also inherit this gene but usually only a single copy(which they can pass on to their kids) but some do inherit 2 copies & yes the do go bald & have to wear wigs. Sure hope I explained this well enough for you to understand.

Male pattern baldness is genetically inherited from your maternal grandfather. If this member of your family was bald, there is an increased chance that you will be also. If we are using the example of the Royal Family this would be the Queen's own Father, the late King George VI. However, he was not bald at all. Therefore one must look at other factors, stress, underlying medical conditions, high levels of testosterone. Incidentally none of the members of the Royal Family you quoted are"bald" - they may be thinning on top and have a bald patch but that is not the definition of being bald!

THE GENITIC FLUKE THAT extra approximately PRINCE HARRY not BEING BALD became DIANA (Xx) james Hewitt has not something to do with Harry not being bald. nicely he ought to be the reson for the purple hair colour and those seems) ( the genes for baldness are latest in X chromosoe wich comes from mom, as adult males are XY: x from mom y from father) yet in case of william he became a unlucky bastard to get the x cromosome wich had the bald DNA sequence in it) prince charles blood group is O-ve if all of us understand wat is diana's blood group, williams's blood group, harry's blood group and a few dna of prince charles, william and harry issues would be sparkling to international
