What was the main problems you observed?

I've had friends who were kicked out of their dorms and had to trash all of their belongings (clothes, computers, everything) because of an asbestos problem. Shepherd College
My freshman year, I could hear creatures running around in my vents. Frostburg University
The school that I currently work for has serious mold problems with horrible security (crime is probably the biggest problem on campus--theft AND violent crime). Really, most dorms are atrocious! Not naming names though, don't want to get my butt fired.

Went to a local college and didn't have to stay in a dorm thankfully

I won't say where I went to college (it was somewhere in MN), but generally the men's dorms were nastier than the women's dorms.

Ball State University
The dorm rooms are SO small and when I went there wasn't any air condintioner

deteriorating facilities last upgraded in 1950, drugs, alcohol, you name it...
