This is in response to the bigot, hypocritical spammer known as mmmmk92 . Every one of his posts (With very few exceptions) are simply gay bashing posts. He offers to show people how to no longer be gay (As if it's a bad thing) while what he is really saying is that he finds gay people are sickening and go against his belief. He is doing nothing more than posting a gay bashing topic with the sole intent of hurting/hummiliating those of you on here that are gay. I for one think it should stop. Yahoo should yank his account and ban his ip address as well as the rest of those users on here who do nothing but promote hate.

A simple YES / NO, or AGREE / DISAGREE will suffice, however, feel free to leave your comments on here to me, or to mmmk92, as I surely hope he reads this.

*Note: on his last message, he complained that people try and push their views on him by commenting on his posting in a negative way, while all the while, he is oblivious as to what he is doing. Sad person.

Also, I wrote a note to yahoo regarding this person, asking for his account to be banned for this reason. However, I highly doubt they will do anything as they don't seem to find his postings to be against the posting rules. I say this because he himself admits that people have threatened to flag him for abuse, and that nothing has happened. It's as if he's proud he can get away with this crap.

Freedom of speech is one thing, when what you are saying is considered harrassing others, that goes beyond freedom of speech. From yahoo's rules for this site: (Please note items indented with -'s)

You agree to not use the Service to:

upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, -abusive-, -harassing-, tortuous, -defamatory-, vulgar, obscene, -libelous-, -invasive of another's privacy-, -hateful-, or -racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable-;

Seems to me he is breaking about 5 or 6 of them with his posts on this site. Granted I am probably breaking a few myself with this post, so I'm no better, but I'm really tired of it. Look up his username and look at the last 90 questions he's posted before you write on here...

Thank you very much for the wonderful and informative replies you all gave to this.
I am not gay, not even curious, but I have many friends who are and I find that when I talk to them, I have a better time than I do with my "Manly" friends (Please do not take that to be rude, it's not meant to be).

I understand what most of you had to say about ignoring these people, but you know, I can only do that so long until they've gotten on my very last nerve and are bungy
jumping with it. It is so hard to ignore people who so blatently abuse the system and promote hate. To the black guy that said they get picked on too, I know man, and I'm sorry, I wish there was something I could do about that as well, I just didn't mention anything about it because I haven't gotten to any of those posts yet.

I doubt anyone will ever change these people, as much as I doubt yahoo will do anything with them, and again, I'm very sorry for that. You guys are as normal as any of us and deserve respect.

Dude,

YES & NO ! BUT IF IT'S YES - I AGREE - IF IT'S NO - AGAIN, I AGREE.

Unfortunately, as Y! Answers is an 'open forum' and it has its rules & regulations (which by the way was cute the way you included it in your post), these sites offer OPEN VOICE and OPEN RANTS to all viewers.

Surely, if I were to go to a straight section, and viewed their questions with a 'closed mind' as this 'mmmmk92' (or is it 'mmmk92' - you have both in your post) seems to be doing, well, then I'm no different. As I want my views and opinions to be heard and listened to, as well - I'm given that option by visiting this site. The fact that you went out of your way to 'out this guy' only tells me that you are letting him get to you.

Dude, there are several things I view and read on this site, (some of which could make one's blood curdle, or skin crawl) but I don't take it to heart. Perhaps you might want to consider the same thing.

Let the people get it off their chest - just like they are letting you get it off yours.

We all want to hear what everyone's opinions and answers are, so let's just do that. IF there's something that makes you react - just move on to the next one. Trust me, these people will eventually stop because guess what ? .. No one's listening anymore ! Tell me you will at least think about it.

Thanks for the question.

While I do believe in Freedom of Speech, I do believe there is a line that should not be crossed. When someone starts to threaten an-others life...that's when I feel Yahoo should step in. I do however agree that this person is SAD. He must live a miserable life to be able to say the things he does. He's just a pitiful human being. The best thing we can do is IGNORE him and stop responding to his posts. No fuel...no fire.

Most emphatically, YES!

Bashing is a form of abuse as well as insulting. All those who posted that it's "freedom of speach" obviously know very little about the law or it's application.
Since this is NOT a public land, it is and OWNED FORUM freedom of speech does NOT apply.
Yahoo and the Y!A team have posted rules of appropriate conduct, those who violate those terms deserve to be reported.

Yes,
Look I know you want just a yes or no but I have to say the reason why I say yes and what rules should apply too this.
1. Yahoo says "that are abusive, threatening, slanderous, or belligerent against any individual or groups of individuals for any reason." I'm not saying take away their freedom of speech, The should be allowed to say they don't agree with our life styles without the hate and all the ******* *** ******* ******** ****, there should be no die in hell and no I wish death to these people and so on.....

Forgive me for going into so much detail

Repeated harassment is abuse. Doing nothing about the repeated harassers that are reported to Y!A is frustrating. Ignoring reports of those threatening or advocating violence is inexcusable! General random bashing, eh, it goes on all over Y!A against all kinds of ppl - part of free speech, ya know. I do definitely know what you are talking about. Just try to not let the ignorant jerk-off get to you.

And I read that last "question" of his (?) - really an advert for some conversion therapy - and didn't bother to reply. I am under no obligation to answer - although sometimes I do, for my own amusement.

If we all chose to ignore them, they might go away (their questions surely would - after 7 days of being unanswered).

So what options do we have?

Ignore them;
Report them or
Try to educate them.

Banning them, however, is not going to resolve the problem - it'll just lessen us - even more - in their eyes; for the slight they will perceive us to have proffered them.

People who bash anyone because of ethnicity, religon, or sexual orientation is wrong and should be suspended. yes, this is somewhere to express your opinion but it is not meant to hurt others. I dont appreciate people who abuse the site.

The problem lies with the people reading his posts who are not intelligent enough to recognize an idiot when they see one. Sadly, some people can be duped into believing BS.

May we all rise above such ignorance. Those who will not, cannot, and they too will suffer in a sad little world.

While I do whole heartily agree that mmmk92 is a sad, sad unemployed , living at home with ma and pa bigot, and should get a life post haste, i disagree that he should be in any way censored. he is protected by law to be able to say what he wants.
i my self get a Lil rude with the Christians in here, but that's my right. freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but horrible at the same time cause it gives loosers like mmmk92 freedom to spout there hate.

That is so sad. I didn't know of this peroson but i'll be on the lookout. I am a hapilymarried straight woman -- and I have no problem with gay people. I hate to use that term because it almost implies that you aren't regular people -- which you are. And no, its not a bad thing. you are a human being. your sexual orientation should be of no concern other than who you want it to concern. As the same for me. I commend you for speaking out ..and good luck. I wish everyone would speak up like you have.
