Do you believe in your muse or not? Several authors believe that they have a muse & that it is the muse who does all the creative work. The muse helps some writers get into the zone, forget about the world around them so they can inhabit the world being created for the characters. If you believe you have a muse... describe her.

correct me if im wrong but a muse is anything that would inspire you to do anything right...like your question was my muse for coming and writting this answer
so for anyone to claim they dont have a muse would be...just plain egotistical...it would plainly just be someone trying to prove they are able to do it on their own...and taking this into philosophical terms
there is only one unmoved mover

Yep, I believe I have a muse. And I am sure she has a sense of humor. I have several times been working on some poetry, trying to come of with some sort of serious piece of work and having a horrid time achieving it when out of nowhere I'll get some inspiration. But what I usually end up with is a real humorous piece of work, not at all serious like I was aiming for, but I pretty much always end up liking the funny piece better than the solemn piece I was working toward.

Yeah, I have an anthropomorphic muse...chalk it up to my college mythology courses or Olivia Newton John prancing around in "Xanadu".

One of the earliest writing books I had described the creative process as 'alluvial sludge'. Perhaps that's why my muse is dressed in a jumpsuit, wears a miner's helmet and has a belt around her hips with all sorts of odd tools. Her name is Cliche, but she insists on pronouncing it "Clickay"

Here's one: why are muses stereotypically female? Do female (or male) writers ever have male muses?

Everyone has a muse, however I don't believe she does all the work.

This is silly nonsense - just the sort of thing a fiction writer would come up with.

It's hard to describe something that goes beyond typical human understanding... :0)

"I write, I see, I write some more...book is done."
