I agree with snoochies...

The 93-97 Z28's are 14 second flat quartermile cars...the S2000's are mid 14 second cars...unless the driver of the camaro is retarded...he should win.

Underrated or not...Willpower is no substitute for horsepower.

Not to mention but for those of you who don't race...horsepower is not the only factor in a race...torque...weight...gear ratio...temperature outside...traction...

Ps...a 96 Z28 has 285 horsepower not 300. (first year with dual cats to boost output by 10 horse over the 275 for the 93-95 years).
And S2000's are not underated...look at the dyno charts.

Oh yeah..and that "bulky" Muscle car you are refering to...almost matches the porsche boxter on the skid pad...do yourself a favor...go do some reading.

HEY LOOK EVERYONE...SOMEONE GAVE ME A THUMBS DOWN FOR POINTING OUT FACTS!!! EITHER THAT OR SOMEONE IS GOING AROUND GIVING ME A THUMBS DOWN FOR PAYBACK ON REMARKS MADE CONCERNING OTHER QUESTIONS!!!!! HMMMMMMMMM

It would be very, very close in a drag race, although my money would be on the Camaro. In a tight section of twisty road, the Honda would walk away from the Chevy - IF it had a good driver. I've seen a mid '90s Camaro with the LE1 handling package driven that could hold its own against many of the S2000's at a local autocross, although that was more a testament to the woman behind the wheel than the car.

As previously mentioned the Z28 may be able to beat the S2000 off the line but once it comes to turning the Honda will beat the Chevy with no trouble at all.

One is a bulky muscle car, one is a roadster. Two entirely different driving concepts.

Dont be loopy! The z28 isn't lengthy for this international. It has little or no time left. you'll do not something yet sink funds into it for therefore long as you personal it. With the Civic your thoughts are infinite. you may personalize it at the same time with your own unique recommendations, to be diverse than each and every of the others. also, the z28 is a cost ticket magnet. The law enforcement officials will see it coming for miles, they stand out as a muscle automobile and also you would possibly want to get non stopped harrassed. The Civic will mixture in even even as it stands proud as unique.

The Honda is only a 4 cylinder with 240 HP and 2.2 liters. It may be lighter but that doesnt mean anything. The camero would blow it away. I personally have a 1995 Camaro with over 10,000 in mods and I would bet the car on this race.

I hope not lol I think any car with 300 H.P should have a chance
the Camaro will only do good in a straight line against the Honda.

Nope, That s2000 is under rated, it's a hell of a lot quicker than people think. The power kicks in at 6000rpm, and keeps going to 9500rpm. with 240bhp and next to no weight, it shifts.
Then point it at a corner, and you'll see the s2 disapear over the horizon.
