First, we need to know your underlying assumption. Sex is actually a very broad term.
Are you asking on the assumption that all people evaluate orgasm as the indicator that sex has come to its conclusive end for a session?
If so, body response times are on a spectrum.
I say it is a broad term because some people's bodies might never experience orgasms. These people still can have sex though ^_~
Is your assumption based on male orgasms? or loss of male erection? These times are also on a spectrum, with some males not able to have erections, and others having erections for varrying amounts of time.
however, a penis is not required to have sex.
I suggest going with the idea that people are different, and by averages you might be getting extremely short times and extremely long times and the middle number you get doesn't pertain to either of those ^_~ that is kinda how it goes with humans though, on a spectrum.

Anywhere from 10 to 25 min. The reason I say this is because if you are really up for it, it may not last as long as you'd like it to. If you've been with someone for a while, It will last longer.

its not nearly as long as most TV and Movies make it out to be. In most cases after penetration it generally lasts under 10 min. Most women polled prefer sex including foreplay not to last over a 1/2 hour.
