Except for all the extracurricular stuff, school for me was the biggest waste of time. I could remember how indifferent I was about being there. I'm glad it's all over and I never have to go back.

nice question...well I am in high school now...what I remember for my first yrs of school...I was bullied bcuz I was chubby...I had 2 or 3 girls in my class who had only A+ but there were some grammar exercises where they couldn't get more than B- and I always got at least an A for those..every time the teacher brought us the results and I had good ones, they turned green lol..I remember I loved that...I was some kind of smarty pants but never learned everything...my motto was something kinda "i can do it in the end,no matter how"...I can't figure out,not even now,how I managed to get to a really good high school....
then,in junior high i was the little artist of the class, almost every desk in there had a drawing on it or some song lyrics written..I was always arguing with my french teacher because I just couldn't pronounce the way I should(just a few words and she kept teasing me with those)..well,nice as a whole, but I had awful classmates, let's face it....
Then,in high school, everything is AWESOME...the classmates are great, the teachers are great...even tho I still keep arguing with my art teacher(of course I have art classes haha how couldn't I?)
because in the first days of school,I was writing a text message in his class and someone was listening to music on their phone.
he saw me and thought it was me,and took a really long time to convince him...we still "argue" about this now,but just joking cuz we're really close to age...just 5 yrs difference...lol
anyway...its nice...I just love it...and funny,I dont want school to end...

Horror, I was too smart and got harassed for three years. When I got in High School things turned completely around for me in the good sense and I saw people back from school who turned out to be, well, not quite the popular guys anymore but just average. It was the sweetest revenge I had ever tasted, with all respect, and nothing I had done for that. Just continued living my life, amen.

Grade school was horrid as I was too shy to even ask to go to the bathroom -- had to wait for scheduled breaks. Then at home, I had a nutcase mother. She was so crazy all the teachers knew about her and allowed us to do stuff without permission slips because one of her little quirks was to refuse to sign anything.
I got through it by getting great grades and graduating number one. However, every report card I had to put up with being ridiculed by my mother at the dinner table for being too smart for the family. Very strange, given that 7 out of her 8 children were smart enough to belong to Mensa.

I'm currently in school. High school was aweful. Mostly because of the kind of person I was, I didn't fit in anywhere and I was painfully shy. Socially awkward. I still am, but college is for people who intend to learn and that makes it less stressful socially.

Really strange. I can't remember hardly anything about school.
I remember getting a paddling from one teacher who used a big board with hole drilled in it.

I remember having a crush on my 7th grade english teacher.

I hated them. My mom bought me weird ugly clothes, I wasn't allowed to play sports or join school teams, and I didn't have a backpack - my grandma sent me a lunch and all my stuff in multiple plastic bags. They [my grandma and mom] wouldn't let me shave my legs or wear a bra until grade 8 - and I needed both.

I also wore weird ugly glasses and my grandma cut my hair at home. Until grade 7 I had to wear it everyday in two long braids.

The other kids called me the bag lady.

Load of things that I miss, like getting spanked by a middle aged lady, stuff you have to pay good money for nowadays.

I had a fun time at first school and a really tough time at secondary school. I was lonely most of the time and bullied for most of the rest of the time, but hey! welcome to the real world.

Everthing the songs speak about. Especially from the fifties and sixties.
