NORTON is constantly informing me that a program called taskdir.exe is attempting to access the net I keep chosing to block its access but I keep getting the same message.

I have found a program to remove it but I dont trust programs off websites that I dont know....anyone elese had this problem?

I cna only say get rid of Norton - it is awful - would recommend get AVG - they do a free version which is good enough, and the professional version is cheap..........or mcafee, maybe.

Go to start and then click on search and type in the file . when it comes up delete it and put it in the recycle bin for a month or so if the computer acts weird then put it back and put up with it for all u know it cold be useful and the virus scanners that are good are mcaffe the avg free edition

it may be a kind of virus file so plz never accept it to enter the web.and plz update your norton

I take it norton has no remember this setting.
I have AVG and ZONE ALARM.

If you really want to delete it.
START, FIND, FILES&FOLDERS, type in taskdir.exe it will tell you where to find it trace it back and either delete it or the folder its in.
