Karma - fate and destiny. Also Kismit - fate. I do believe in Kismit and wrote the following which explains:

Kismet.

It was fate that we should meet, you and I,
Had I not looked, not stopped, but wandered by,
What would my life have been, had we two never met.
After thirty something years, I know not the answer yet.

When I look back, I see what’s coming still,
The past is blurred, the future come what will,
I know not where I’d been, but know only too well,
The moment when we met, and when I fell.

The confidence of youth, it made me bold,
At five foot eight, I felt six feet, or so I’m told.
The head of flaxen hair, that made me strong,
Has fallen now, I’m old and it’s all gone.

We’ve grown old together, you and I,
We’ve stayed as one for all those years, I wonder why.
You must have seen something in me that’s good,
I never knew what that thing was, maybe I should.

Our children are now older - than we were when we wed,
I remember that great day now - and all those sweet words said,
When that small flame, in life’s true game, was for the first time lit,
I now know why, I ne’er passed by, it was Kismet.

Yep. Seen the back-lash as it comes around. It was enough to convince me I should be a little more careful about my actions!
