1995 A&E mini-series!!!! I have the DVD set. It's pretty close to the book. I didn't care for the 2005 movie. Keira Knightly was just completely wrong to play Elizabeth Darcy.

The mini series, you can't beat Colin Firth walking along the Field with his shirt all wet, yum yum. Mind you Matthew whats his face is quite tasty to. I didn't like Keira Knightly playing the role of Elizabeth Bennett she was no where near as good as the original actress. The mini series was also longer and told more of the story, the film didn't do it any real justice.

Has to be the mini series for me everytime. Colin Firth was amazing and Alison Steadman hilarious as Mrs Bennett, in fact in the mini series everyone was very well cast, apart from the actress who played Lizzy, she was a little too old I thought. I enjoyed the film and thought Keira Knightly was excellent but to tell the story well you need the time to be able to pace it properly.

The mini series of course. You get a lot more in it over 6hours worth. And of course Colin Firth is a fantastic Mr Darcy. Very nice.

I prefer the mini series, it was really well done, very close to the book and the attention to detail was amazing. however it did take six hours to tell the story. The film had much less time to tell the story, therefore all the subtleties were lost, the characters and subplots had to be spelt out to the audience and it was less well cast.

The series is a better depiction of the book, but the film has Keira Knightly, however the Mr Darcy in the film looks like Mr Collins.
