If it was Bill Elliott, it was in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series at that time. He was also the owner of the 94 team. When Bill left to join Evernham Motorsports, Cal Wells took the McD's sponsorship and put it on a car driven by Andy Houston (I think the number was 97). Shortly thereafter Wells shifted that sponsorship to a Busch Grand National series car which I believe was driven by Anthony Lazarro.

Bill Elliot drove the #94 Mcdonalds car for a long while in the Nascar Winston cup series, which is now the nextel cup series. I think Wood Brothers owned it....not sure though.

Probably Bill Elliot. He drove #94 that year and won Most Popular Driver for the 14th time.
