Terrible. I had 7 friends die in the Trade Centers.I was off of work that day planning on sleeping in, but something told me not to so I went upstairs in my apartment & turned on the TV, from there it was not turned off for 2 days. Five years have passed & people are still greving, I'm one of them. Any reaction of any president would be nothing but shock. "How could anyone just go & take out one of the things that make America proud?" Bush was in term for only a few months. Yes he did know about the possibility of an attack on the World Trade Centers. No I do not agree with what Bush did that day. But What was he to do at all. Nothing is fair at all on that day, almost 3,000 people died that one day. Many people call it the beginning of WW3. This past SEP11 I went down to our locall Fire department memorial. What I saw there touched my heart. There were a bunch of flowers, baloons, cards, & stuffed animals. I saw a man dressed in a retired fire department uniform, he was kneeling down at the wall of names & crying not really noticing anybody around him. That day at least 15-20 people were there they all looked at him. Then later 4 firefighters came to give there respects they did not realize it but they were all standing in a row bowing there heads. I personally am greatful for all our everyday heros. They died saving the people of AMERICA!!!!!

As a non american I think my point of view will be different from most but here goes:

I woke up that morning to hear my family talking and everyone was watching tv, even though I had heard them talking in advance it still took me over half an hour of watching for myself to figure out that it was real and that it had actually happened in the United States, even watching the pictures of what happened the other day on the 5th anniversery I was still in shock. I didn't understand at the time Bush's reaction but I think I do now. I was appauled at what was allowed to happen but feel that the hands of the US were tied as far as being able to do anything about it. I could go on for hours about this topic 'cause I have before, but let me just say this; the international community and international laws prevent the US from being able to do what they really need to do, which in my opinion is to know who is a treat and despose of them in a timely manner. They know who the problem is, but are unable to act without hardcore physical evidence which to my mind is a roll of ****. These terrorist believe in death and anyone who believes in freedom and life is under treat and thoes who have the power to do something about it(like Bush) should be allowed to without any form of hinderance. I am 23 years old and live in Barbados. I appreciate the fact that the US is at war with these terrorist because I know that it is not just about the US but it is a war against the entire free world and those of us who intend to have children some day or who already has children need to pay close attention and be very mindful of the world that we are bringing them into.

I could probably write an entire essay on this one particular subject! But Im not going to.

The incident of Sept.11 was a terrible one...no doubt about it! But I didn't have a frightful or extreme reaction to the event. I thought it was awful that anything like this would happen....but then I thought about what goes on around the world......... ALL THE TIME!!!!!! I'm getting really tired of hearing about it. Unfortunately, a certain nation is going to keep bringing it up....to get sympathy, a greater reason to be angry and continue war with other countries and to ultimately continue accumulating money for the entertainment purpose that Sept.11 has provided.

I'm not heartless. I help out those who need it, I volunteer with special needs individuals and...........I only wish I could do more!!

While much has been made of Bush being told this would happen, you have to ask yourself if that was true, where were the concerned talking heads on the nightly talk shows. It would seem that if anyone had been able to decipher the message which now seems pretty clear, why didn't they call Dan Rather, or someone who would have gladdly put that information on the air.

Monday morning quarterbacking is pretty easy. What we should focus on is how to prevent such a thing from happening again. I favor taking it to the terrorists rather than sit back and wait for the next unthinkable surprise.

I think Bush (along with his lap dog Blair) have used the events of 9/11 to justify so much. Wars, represive measures against ordinary people (not just muslims) and draconian 'security' measures. The people in the twin towers were only the first victims. Since then Bush and Blair have created many more.

A statement from Germany:
Sept.11,2001, local time 3pm,on the freeway heading down to Frankfurt,Germany. Radio is tuned to AFN,American Forces
Network.Suddenly the music is turned down, the newsman
tells s.th. about a plane crash in Manhattan.Estimated 1000s of
dead.I´m not sure if I got it all.I change the channel, the german
station confirmes, two airplanes crashed into WTC.Towers collpapsed, firemen, policemen buried.I listen as in trance.Back to
the company,I hear some turkish workers making jokes. Two
german collegues hold me tight, was about to attack them muslim jerks. If I had done so,I would have lost my job,due to
the company´s rules.I´ve to be thankful to the people who
stopped me from beating the turks. One of them got caught some days later stealing goods, and was fired. The other one
is ignored by me and he´s ignoring me.
The muslim motivated terror against our western system of democracy and freedom must be fought back.
The west MUST invent and devellop new sources of energy
to become independant from arab oil.
The west MUST NOT any longer pamper muslim immigrants,(legal or illegal)with welfare.
One felony by muslim immigrant-DEPORTATION back.
The west must stop digging his own grave.
