I Just Ordered Proactiv, Does This Stuff Really Work?

Question

I'm 20, my face breaks out only where I shave, my forehead is completely clear, and then I have about 6-8 small pimples on average on each side of my cheek/ jawline. Should this product stop this from happening?

Bye the way. Big B is wrong. The foods you eat have nothing to do with pimples. It is a myth, reserch it if you don't believe me.

A more common reason for outbreak is:
1) Touching your face with you hands a lot (Oily fingers get into the pores)
2) Not washing your face morning and night. After washing with warm water do a final rinse of the face with very cold water to close the pores. This prevents oils and dirt from entering the pores and causing outbreak!

It worked really well for me. Like others have said you have to do what it says twice a day or the acne comes back quick. My worse thing was falling asleep without washing my face..which is bad in general.
The pain for me was reordering...I finally started doing it on Ebay because I could get just what I needed cheaper and quicker instead of going through Proactiv.
I just got the new Neutragena system though that is a lot like Proactiv. It has a cleanser, a day cream, and a night cream. It has worked extremely well also.

My husband uses this, he had very bad acne at times!
Heres the thing, You have to use this process EXACTLEY as stated, twice a day, all the products,
he does not have a break out when he uses it right, but when he slips from it, here they come, but what helps with those is the small tube they sell seperatly, for the blemishes that are already there!

You will see results in about 3 weeks and FULL ON results within 6 so give it time dont expect results in a week or so!

Hi, No it does not!, i ordered everything and used it according to directions for over 1 month. I noticed that instead of healing and preventing pimples it only made my skin very "tough" feeling , as if the product was growing a new layer over my skin. It was very weird. My previous pimples were still there but under layers upon layers of "new skin". I tried to soak the pimples to a head but they were so far beneath the surface of my skin that i could not reach them. i had to wait another month after quiting the product before i could reach those first pimples i tried to get rid of. I then contacted the company but they were no help! because I live in Canada and it was shipped from the States i would have to get in touch with the supplier in Canada, i have been trying to get in touch with anyone, but no one has bothered responding! So I guess you will have to try it and find out for yourself if it is the right product for you! Good Luck! :)

Well in order for the stuff to work make sure you keep using it until it runs out. Your face may break out a little more at first but its your skin just not use to it being clean and medicine on it.

Now after using Proactiv if you want to continue to use the stuff there is this stuff at any store (ie Walmart) called AcneFree. It has the excate same ingredients and Proactive!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

Maybe you should try it on a small concealed section of skin first to see how you react to its ingredients? Because everyone's skin is different it is hard to say. I have a friend who used it for 6 months and it did wonders for her, but it seems like her skin got used to the Proactiv formula and stopped responding to it after a while.

Maybe you should see a dermatologist (if you can afford it). If it's only where you shave, it might be due to irritation due to the razor or shave cream/gel you use, or maybe even ingrown hairs?

Sounds like the same condition i have...or had. Proactiv does work, at least for me it does. You just have to get in the routine of using all 3 products every single day. If you miss a few days, you will see the acne return.
My wife uses it also and she has seen improvement as well.

It personally didn't work at all for me. It was a big waste of money. I tried it in high school and again when I was about 21. But it does work for a lot of people though. I guess that it was just to strong for me because it actually made my face look even worse (if that was possible). I really do hope it works for you though! Have a great day!

I like the stuff that dries up the zits but when I used the solution and everything else, it made my face break out more. So, now I only use the stuff that dries up what zits I currently have. I'm sorry I cannot even think of the word....LOL But, a friend of mine uses everything Proactiv and she loves it.
