I do. But my husband is totally against it. There was this one time when I gave twenty bucks to this guy and he grabbed his crotch like "*** you" and ran off! I felt stupid but I still give here and there.

What about you?

I used to all the time. Where I used to work, I couldn't walk a block down the street without 3 or 4 homeless people asking me for money. And I have always hated to see a person go hungry. It really makes me so sad to think of what they must go through day after day without a place to sleep, or without knowing when and where they will have their next meal. It's very sad that there are so many homeless people in our country. So sad. I thank God every day for the roof over my head.

No. There are some people who are pretending to be poor so I never know who to really trust. If the person was skinny with there bones sticking out then yes I would donate money to that person.
Also I live in a such a small town that there are no homeless people. I saw a lot in Chicago and felt bad for them. If I was a millonare like Donald Trump I would build shelters and feed all of those people. Encorage them to get jobs or find something they can do to make money. A talent.
You have to be careful with giving money away too.
Another depressing fact. All throughout history theres been homeless people. Life is cruel that way.

Giving money to street urchins usually just feeds their bad habits, or you are just funding a scam artist IE free way off ramp con artists. I donate money to charity organizations and hope that is it buying food rather than padding an administrators pocket. In the long run im my opinion funding known organizations is the best way to actually help people.

Not money--you never know where that's going to go. When I worked downtown, though, we'd usually walk to the donut shop in the mornings and buy extras for the homeless we passed on the way, then pass them out on the way back.

Absolutely not. When they say they need it for food, I offer to buy them food and then they run off. This tells me that they were going to spend it on something else. One time I really did buy a little old man some food when he asked for money and he seemed really happy so that was good. But yeah, let's just say there's a huge meth problem in my town...

No. I prefer to give to agencies and organizations that can distribute it to those in need. I feel safer doing this and that the money is more likely to go to those in real need rather than those in need of a drink or a fix.

Sometimes I do. But sometimes I don't. I'm more of the opinion that you should give to an organization or charity that will handle the money more effectively.

No. I will buy them food or give them the address to the town's homeless shelter.

NEVER!We work to hard for our money. However, instead of throwing out leftovers,we'll hand our food out to the white homeless man.
