Sorry if this is too graphic for anyone! I am 33 weeks pregnant and I am just wondering if anyone knows of any positions that will ease the pain and discomfort of intercourse? My husband and I don't usually use the missionary since it hurts when he puts any pressure against my belly. Spooning is okay but it hurts my tailbone and it causes pain vaginally, the same with me on my side and him upright. Standing with him from behind hurts vaginally and makes my pelvic bones ache.

Is there anything we are missing? I have a kama sutra but it doesn't really say what the best position for pregnancy is. My husband still finds me attractive and I want to continue to be intimate, though the pain has cut into our sex life a lot. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I would postpone sex until after the baby comes, but my husband read somewhere that women who have regular sex during pregnancy are more likely to deliver on their due date. Also, we don't spend a lot of time together and it's nice to have that intimacy.

I have a condition called vestibulitis that is commonly called the ring of fire in the vagina. I think everything hurts because of this problem. Anyone know anything about that?

It sounds like you have tried everything so far and nothing is working!! I am 35 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend and I still have sex. Here is the secret, Have him lay down on his side and enter you, once that has happened intertwine your legs with his, kinda like scissors . Go slow and rock with each other, his leg should actually rub against your clit, or you can stimulate yourself. This is the only way I can still have sex comfortably. Hope it works for you too! If you still have no resolution and you are comfortable with oral, you may just have to take care of him until things get back to normal, and if he is willing maybe he will do the same for you. Sometimes I hurt to bad and he wants sex but the best I can do for him is to give oral. Hopefully he is as understanding as my partner. Good Luck!! :)

Spooning is the best position. You may need to "take care of him" and wait until the baby is born if that doesn't work. It looks like you've tried everything I can think of! Good luck with the new baby and you will be back to your old self soon. :)

Try doggy style. That worked great for me and my fiance. Could you get on top? That also worked for me. Actually We had sex up until I was 41 weeks (the morning I was induced actually). I had alot of the same problems that you are having. doggy style worked for us until I got around 38 weeks cause my stomach started to pull to bad on my back. With me on top though it was great. It gives a different perspective on things as well.

With my first pregnancy, I could only do "doggie style". Anything else would send shooting pains. This pregnancy (I am 39 weeks) anything hurts but it is not so bad to be on top. Better yet, only have oral.

You should seriously think about oral sex. It does not sound like anything is working for you without causing discomfort. You can be intimate without intercourse for the next 60 days and that should not create a problem.

I would do it, hrm i dont know the name, but we both lied down on our backs, our torsos were opposite each other and our legs were like sissors.
I liked this position b/c i was pretty lazy when i was pregant so being on top didnt appeal to me.
