I am a staunch Republican. If people don't like it, they can kiss myass.

To me, I'd be ashamed to have voted and still supportive of a president that has done more to disturb the balance of peace in the world than any other man since Hitler. And have absolutely nothing to show for it but allowing the rich to get much wealthier while making the poor support their excesses. That is what happens in a fascist state.

I am a Democrat and proud of it. I was an Independant until the right wing religous movement took over the republican party. I changed so i could do more to stop their insanity.

A lot of people are moderates and would rather not have someone criticize them base don a label or category. It's not like politics ever has any absolute right or wrong position along party lines. Republicans are better for business and foreign policy (traditionally) whereas Democrats have a stronger record on education and the environment.

Why advertise something that is only a sometimes affiliation when it opens you to unfounded abuse and vitriol?

Good for you for stating that. It is admirable. But I feel its really noone's business but my own on whether I'm Democrat or Republican. It really shouldn't matter unless you're in a political science class or debating the merits of dem versus republican. And regardless of which one you are, once you state it, someone is going to want to argue with you about how wrong you are. Its not worth it. Most people who are staunch supporters of one party or the other won't budge on their opinions.

Good on ya. I'm neither. Politics is not sports, and I will not choose my leaders based on team loyalty. I'm an American first. Both parties have strengths and both have weaknesses, chiefly among them that they're constantly fighting eachother instead of building the country together. It's no secret, I'm just not a puppet voter. An R or a D next to someone's name does not gaurantee my vote, but a good idea will.

What are you proud of? What have the Republicans done in the past few years? Have they accomplished anything??

It may not be because they are not proud of their choices, it may be that they feel that they have the right to keep that information to themselves.

I'm Independent and would never vote straight down party lines...that is what I am proud of....

Frankly if you are an old style republican you ought to be proud, but if you are a NEOCON.. go hide your face in shame.

I'm a conservative, but anyone who's proud to be a Republican right now is an idiot.
