Steroids!?

Question

If this enhancement is true, you know that steroids gives a person all this special power and that is how baseball players, runners, football players etc. break all of these sport records and become better than those who dont use steroids. My question is-why don't we give these steroids to our armed forces so that they have this extraordinary strenghth and power that supposedly comes from steroids. Wouldn't we over power the enemy??

Couldn't we win the war in a more rapid pace?

I understand that Steroids is an enhancement----reflexes are better.
I know they are bad and illegal, I am not supporting them it is just a question.

Thats actually a really interesting point. Even though I disagree with the use of steroids, except for medical use.
However, even though steroids can make a person the ultimate being (in some sense), the long term effects of using steroids would cause the armed forces to eventually lose those individuals anyway!
Perhaps,........the governments responsible for their armed forces actually care for their recruits (what a nice thought!).
But.....I wouldn't be surprised if individuals in the armed forces use steroids....even without the military knowing!

All of what you say is true Steroids are powerful enhancers however they come with a terrible price . By throwing the body into high gear they will over time "burn out " whole organ systems causing heart ,liver ,central nervous system failure and eventual death . They also repress the body's response to infection so that simple wounds on the battle field would turn into massive life threatening events . Most important most of the signifigant effects are non reversible .

There are a lot of negative effects that come along with steroids. Things like infertility and testicular cancer. Also, modern warfare has very little to do with phisical strength. A bullet will kill you no matter how strong or fast you are. More important is intelligence, training, and good weapons.

steroidal enhancement comes at a terrible price to the internal organs and bone structures. Yes, it encourages muscle mass, but, prolonged use to maintain that musculature causes irreversible damage to liver, kidneys, pancreas and heart. It also causes osteoporosis and pathologic fractures. It inhibits nutrient absorption as well. Most intelligent people that want a real future know better than to use steroids unless they are needed to stay alive.

well steroid do much harm than good, remember appearences are deceiving , the athletes u see have a good oulook and figure, steroids causes infertility,,, do u know that.. it decreases the sperm count to dangerously low levels also they cause testicular atrophy. and mental distress.

if military is distressed, how they gonna cope with enemies.and worst of all STEROIDS CAUSE EARLY DEATHS,and we dont want army ppl who reach taking guts in military to DIE SOON

because they wouldn't steroids can kill you it makes the reaction time slower there for the armed forces would be killed by the enemy first .. why would you want that

I had a pt this weekend with a HUGE wound on his *** that he got from shooting up steroids. It was terrible.
