If I were wealthy I'd probably be giving to everything. As it is, I have two charities that I donate money too. I've seen enough ads and articles and news stories to know there is a lot of suffering in this world. I chose one particular charity because I feel like they make good use of the money sent to them and also they have an option where you can choose specific items and donate the money for those. Examples would be milk for a child for a month, clothing for a child, food for a family for a week, mosquito netting, tent shelters, etc... They go from inexpensive things that anyone could afford up to boats, motorcycles, homes. You can choose to give a specific item or you can choose to just give money to be used where most needed. The other charity I give to is a local one. It is a camp for children who cannot go out into the sun. It gives them a chance to be with other kids and they do all the things other camps do, only they do it at night. They don't charge any of the campers for attending. They rely on donations. I read an article about them in Parade Magazine when I lived in Texas. I later moved to New York and discovered that the camp is right here in my home town. They have donation cans out at stores that I put money in. I also request that people donate to them at Christmas in my name in place of a wrapped gift. Then I also donate blood every two months to the Red Cross. That's not something I've done because I was influenced by photos. I just do it because I like to help people. I don't have a lot of money and these two charities and the blood donations are ways that I can help others on my limited income. Why do I want to help? I don't know really, I think it is just something that came in my genetic makeup. I've always been that way since I was a child. (-:

I doesn't take much for me to help others. It would be because i see things happening that really could be prevented. I can't save the world, but every difference that i can make counts.
As long as I have the available time and $ if its needed. I prefer to be a hands on helper, not just send some money away. (no disrespect to those who do, i'm just speaking about myself)
I love working with children. I have been for 6 years now. I also love to answer a Dear Santa letter at Christmas and personally deliver it to the home.

First of all, it requires self-actuation and self motivation. Next, it requires qualities of leadership, which should enable you to motivate others, so as to form a team. The team should have clear mission statements, time-bound achievable goals and well-defined business procedures, which will make the system sustainable, while fulfilling the various goals and mission, stated.

That's a good question, and negative enviroments is a good start. My nephew just got removed from his home because of exactly that. His mom is doing drugs, smoking, drinking, calls him names, isn't feeding him. So now, we are trying to get him to live with us so he will have a real home and a good enviroment to live in.
