I don't want to open an attachement if this really isn't from yahoo, how can I verify?

no it's not yahoo,. delete it and never download attachments of this kind

Delete it immediately. Some one is trying to cause trouble for you. Never open an attachment unless from a good friend.

you can verify that it is indeed a yahoo acount as you can see. It is verified on the basis that the end is a yahoo.com domain. I would recomend that you contact yahoo about your issue and give them the screen name that is in front of the @yahoo.com domain name. If the problem continues please block the address.

Its just the domain name use by the user ... just disregard it and then delete it anyway, if you don't know the user then just delete it.

there are also emails created by users like admin@yahoo.com or security@yahoo.com ...just disregard bec. this is fraud.

If you dont know who it came from, or unsure, do not open it just delete it.

no anybody can send e-mail from yahoo.com
don't open any attachment with this e-mail
