I had unprotected sex 2 days before my period is supposed to start and I am supposed to start today. I'm usually very regular and i haven't been late or anything for years. I'm worried because i also had unprotected sex 6 days after my last period, and my breasts are really sore (not normal). When should I take I pregnancy test?

You only ovulate one day out of a 28 day cycle and it's most likely that you ovulate around the 15th day of your cycle. The day you start your period is the first day (day 1). Therefore if you had sex 2 days before your period was suppose to start, you didn't get pregnant from that time (sperm was flushed out with your period). But the sex 6 days after your last period is a definite possibility. If you are talking about when you stopped your period, then there is a high risk that you are pregnant. Sperm can live up to 5-9 days in the vagina therefore if you ovulated during that time there is a risk that you are pregnant. You can take a pregnancy test 4 DAYS BEFORE you missed period (I think First Response brand). So take one now, read the directions VERY carefully!

You should take a pregnancy test ASAP. I used First Response, and got a correct positive result 4 days before I was supposed to start my period. The time when you ovulate (the only 3 or 4 days you can get pregnant in a cycle) is 2 weeks after your last period/2 weeks before you expect your next one.

You can take a test now, They have the ones out now that can tell you up to 5 days before your missed period.

You could take one today or tomorrow, most HPTs say to use them after the first day of your missed period, which you said was today. Maybe get a box with 2 tests in it, and take one now and if it says negative but you still don't get your cycle in a couple days take the other one just to be sure.

It may be too soon to tell but with you stressing about it so much it could cause your period to be a little off but if it would help you go to the doctor and take a test!!

when you have sex befor your period people often miss there period for as long as a week or two....and your breast feelin sore that could be just your period coming but...you need to look in if he came in you the times you had unprotected sex....if you dont get your period in two weeks ...i suggest you get a pregnanty test....good luck

Wait another day or two and if your period does not show up, take a test.

You can only get pregnat when you ovulate which is generally 14 days after the first day of your last period....

EPT can be used the first day of your missed period.

you could be, my breasts didnt get sore til I was 2 months along , everyone is different, get a test
