The other reason for your back ache, which is so normal, I'm sorry, is that the baby may be pressing against your sciatic nerve. It runs from your spinal cord through your hips and down both legs. Unfortunately, the only remedy for that is having the baby! The sleeplessness may be caused by being overly tired. Sounds weird, but you may need to take some small naps during the day to help you sleep at night. There is a wonderful herbal tea on the market just for pregnant women that will help you, it's in the natural or organic food section. Also, a nice back rub will help with both problems. Tell your significant other that it is their responsibility as you are carrying the child!

Yes your backache is normal this is just your hips widening to make room from your growing cervix. You should try to drink a glass of warm milk or tea before bed Also you may want to take a hot bath before you go to bed to relax you.

Yes it is normal for your back to hurt.. I went out and got the Total Body Pillow Snoogle (pregnancy pillow) and it's so worth it... it helps with the back ache so much that I was able to finally get some sleep.... I got mine at babies r us... if you don't have a store near you then get it online and I'm sure other store carry it... I'm telling you its going to help ease the back pain... Also I would talk to your dr about hot baths, my dr wouldn't let me, so ask before taking one... Congratulations and Good Luck... I hope your back feels better :)

I wouldn't know, I don't have ovaries, but it may be hormonal, since the baby isn't big enough to roll up into a ball around your spine.
