its a samsung cd rw(52*24*52). the tray opens when the button is pressed and sometimes it opens automatically. i have another cd r drive which is a little older and having the same problem before. the rw is a new one and this problem started a few weeks earlier. please help

maybe it the reading speed?or maybe it cant read the disk you put in it

I had the same Problem and none of the Antivirus helped. Finally I formatted my C drive and reinstalled the O.S again. Now there is no Problem

i would recomend runing an antivirus sweep on your computer. It sounds like you are infected with what is called a trojan virus. Do a simple sweep of your computer and it should be fine. I have never heard of this happening without someone ever being infected in my career.

Typical trojan issue. I reccommend a virus scan. Most probably that little "virus" is not harmful at all but it makes funny things, so it's better to get rid of it...

i think ur pc is infected with virus.just check if there are any suspicious applications running in the background by pressing ctrl+alt+del
