I wanted to download four files, but AVG discovered they each had a virus and recommended, that these files be put in the AVG Virus Vault.

I've just checked and they are there.

Should I delete them from the AVG Virus Vault i.e. from my computer, or just leave them where they are?

Can they still do any harm to my computer?

Well, they'll do no harm to your computer whilst they're in the vault, but before deleting them for good you might want to make sure they definitely have viruses and aren't false positives. How reputable is the site you downloaded from? Or is there a webmaster to the site you could ask?

Well, the best idea is to get rid of those files, however, many (if not all) of the anti-virus software give fals-positive result for some kinds of files, i.e. if the files are not 100% legal and stuff like that.

they are "quarantined" so they are not harmful.
