I've seen some women who look like models and have 3 kids. Does that mean they had surgery immediately following the births? Do they workout really hard?

I don't have any kids and I'm thin and 28 -- always wondered why some women get huge after having babies and other women totally regain their slender shape. How do they do it??

I think a lot of it depends on your body style to begin with. If you tend to be heavier, than chances are you aren't going to become stick thin after having a baby. I found that breast feeding is a wonderful way to burn calories, along with a healthy diet you can lose a fair amount of weight. I have read though that even if you go back to your original weight chances are your hips will be a little wider and you might have extra skin on your stomach.

I have a neighbor who has twin boys and she wears a bikini, no stretch marks or anything. It doesn't seem fair, but that's how the world works.

Unfortunately, a lot of this is already programmed into your genes, but there is some you can do. One of the most important things is to eat right and don't gain over the recommended amount of weight while pregnant. The other is to maintain an excercise schedule while pregnant, with your provider's blessing. The YMCA offers wonderful water excercise classes that are perfect for expecting moms. It doesn't raise their body temperature too high, and does not put the normal wear and tear on the loosened joints and pelvic girdle that other excercise does. You can tell the difference between woman who excercised in pregnancy, and those who either took a break during, or never did. Just things to think about if you plan on having children.

A lot of it has to do with if they are healthy and if they take care of themselves before or after pregnancy ie. walking or workouts and eating healthy and not huge amounts. Some of it does seem to be genetics and yes some do starve themselves or go off the deep end trying to be thin again(I know a woman who did this)

Well it helps if you only gain the recommended weight when you are pregnant, Having tight abs beforehand help to. pregnancy is not (contrary to popular opinion) a time to eat for two and be lazy. After the baby arrives breastfeeding helps to shrink the uterus and also burns about 500 cal a day. ( it also helps to prevent breast cancer in mommies and obesity in their babies) Keeping active through out its the best answer.

Well ..i wondered about that too. the fat one's are busy raising their kids and don't make time to lose weight or their husbands don't let her go to the health club or she probebly is lady and does not care. The thin ones are motivated and take care of themselves or they have nice husabnds who help them out or they have nannies to take care of the kids so they can go get their workouts.

I have always been thin after i had my kids but that's because i make sure that i eat right and work out. it's important to feel good and look good and it makes me motivated.

self control and exercise or staying active. alot of women let themselves go after seeing their body get that big and also continue to eat like their pregnant. u have to stay active and take care of urself. cause ur hormones and metabolism may never return to ur pre-pregnancy self. then getting the weight off becomes harder but u gotta keep at it.

it is mostly genetics.. some women r born lucky. others have to work for it.

they usually wont do reconstructive surgery right after childbirth.. you have to heal from baby bearin first
