My car was hit, I was not in it and it was the other persons fault. My insureance company was going to take them to court to pay for the damages. I then received a letter saying that the resonsible party had disappered and could not be foud. So they were droppipng the case, and my vehicle was not getting fixed. Now i carry full coverage on my car shouldn't the insurance pay for it even if they can't find the other party?

Yes, your insurance company should pay for your car to be repaired. It is up to the insurance company to find the responsible person to be reimbursed.

Unfortunately, you might have to get an attorney. I know someone in this situation and she had to get an attorney and the attorney is suing the responsible person plus her insurance company. The point of insurance is for you not to be inconvenienced when these things happen. So if the responsible person does not pay, your insurance company is suppose to take care of you (because you have been paying them, forever) when needed.

Keep a record of all expenses you have incurred and the letter your insurance company send to you for legal purposes.

Best Wishes!!!

Yes, that's exactly why you pay insurance!
My mother was in a really bad car accident last year with medical bills exceeding $80,000 and the girl who hit her was 19 and on the state auto insurance program, so my mom's insurance had to foot the entire bill.
Insurance companies are notorious for not wanting to pay up when you need them. Let me guess, Nationwide?

If you have full coverage and uninsured motorist, then you are still covered even if they can't find the other party. Thats why you pay those high premiums. Call them back and tell them you want your car fixed now, be ugly, be nasty with them. Argue til the cows come home but make them pay it.
