The advantage of your degree is that it is proof to a potential employer that you are dedicated and goal driven enough to have completed it.

The disadvantage is that most jobs do not require the explicit skills learned.

Psychology is used in Human Relations, Customer Service, Personnel Manager, teaching, care of others - such as child care and the elderly.

It does show your ability to stick with a project and complete it and any degree is better than no degree but unless you're going to a career/ technical school or receiving a Professional License. Assoc. degrees really don't stand for much.

There are too many schools of psychology but not enough psychologists but Starbucks does give you stock options as part of the compensation package.
