though it is known as spyware, but if it is used for a good reason, then it will be ok.. use SPYTECH SPYAGENT, this utility software can record a user's pc activity, like keystrokes, websites open, windows open.. and it could even record a video of the entire desktop (provided you have a powerful pc and lots of space)... you designate which ones to RECORD or keep track, then after your children finish using the internet, you can log into the password-protected software to know what they have been up to...
but to really restrict them from going into such sites, this would take some bit of experience.. like acquiring a software that lists all sites that have adult content and block it, then you can edit/add sites to be block (providing you input each site or that it has a category of SEx in it)...
but to monitor them and give your children a lesson that you are in-charge, use SPYTECH SPYAGENT.. it's a nasty tool for hackers/spys to gather delicate info but also a great tool to ones who just care... it all depends on the purpose of use

i recomend using programs out there such as key loggers. key loggers are programs in which monitor everything from sites that have been visited and chat conversations. some even list who they are so you can go back and track the person down. I know of a few that even email you after a set amount of time. Also a few out there will even take screen shots of what they were doing durring sertin intervals.
