since we make more in the usa per capita..id have to say its higher...germany and france are probably way up there too because of their socialistic gov'ts...my question has always been this: if god only wants us to give 10% to him , how can gov't ask for more..????
we need to do away with loopholes andspecial exemption ...a flat tax on everyone...if you want to make a million, you pay the same % as a guy who makes a thousand...

I don't have exact figures, but generally the US pays fewer taxes than EU countries (UK, Germany, France, etc.). Gas, food, sales, income etc. taxes are all much higher in those countries.

Not sure about taxes in China or Russia.

But, the value system in EU countries is different. They get nationalized health care, education is different, welfare system is different, labor/work laws are different, vacation and work hours are different etc. etc.

You just can't compare tax rates etc. since we in the US pay for things in other ways -- e.g. health care.
