if the bully in jr high always wore a yellow shirt.. and he kicked your butt everyday.. when you see the color yellow, it's not going to bring up happy memories.
If Grandma wore a pink shirt everyday, and everyday she came over to play and bake brownies with you, when you see the color pink, you will associate it with good times.
See where I'm going with this?
Same goes for smells. My mother has worn the Berry flavored blistex for as long as I can remember, everytime I smell it.. it reminds me of my mother putting it on my cheeks before walking to school in the winter. A good memory.
An ex boyfriend always wore Curve for men.. he wasn't a stand up kinda guy and after we broke up, if I smelled that cologne I'd cringe. Sad really, it's a nice smell on a guy.

yes color is rememberd over black and white but bright colors were remembered over natural colors via a study in france.

It's believed that yellow intensifies color. That's why legal pads were originally in yellow only.

yes like common mind feel dark colored item heavier than light colored item and or some color feels warmer than other colors.
