Each branch of engineering is different, trust me i tried 4 different types while in college and then moved onto business. I've tried electrical, computer, mechanical as well as civil. It's not that they were hard, I just didn't enjoy what I was doing. So take a look at the different disiplines offered. Some of them overlap in some areas, and you may find that you like one better than the other. They only way to figure out which is best is to decide what you like to do. Do just pick something for the pay check, or else you'll probably not be good at it.
