no. It comes from a specific gland that produces it. Many zoos remove these glands on the snakes, but this does not cause them to stop salivating

true kinda. It shoots out near their teeth, and it is made in pockets around their mouth area. It's meant to start to breakdown food like saliva is, and it's a liquid that's in a snake's mouth. It's only more deadlier.
