Age is not a big deal as long as you are of "legal" age. As long as you are happy dont worry about it.

Could be a problem with the age gap, i am 5 years older then my wife, and at times it comes in the way, 27 years is a big gap

27 Is a huge age gap, but I am a big fan of do what's best for you. Before you make that jump, though, ask yourself a couple of questions:
1. He may seem right for you, but why are you right for him? Someone who is older than you often has little in common with you. I assume you are young, 20's perhaps. Someone in their 50's or 60's will not want to do the same kinds of activities and will be set in their ways.
2. Has he done this before? How many other girls your age has he dated? This can be a huge indicator of whether or not he's just trying to relive his second childhood.

I am 9 years younger than my wife but I would hate for my daughters to go with anyone with a big age gap

No big deal about that for as long as you are both free.
But you must be prepared for the emotional and sexual problem in the future. A man can diminish performance at 50 above and just in time when you are at your fullest, hottest desires.
More woman developes their desires even until their 60s and beyond, but seldom men do.

That's a big gap. There's 12 years between my parents so I guess I think a large gap is OK but 27....? Well, whatever turns you on...

After you are an adult, I really don't think age differences make any sense. It depends on how compatible you are and what interests you have in common. Good luck if you pursue the relationship.

Nothing at all while you are in your fourties, it gets a little trickier when you are older as u know women outlive the men anyway so yeah I guess theres no problem, If youre truely happy it doesn't matter

As long as the 'young one' is above consentable age. you know something like 18 and not 8.

are you at least 18 years old? if it is legal and all ...well whatever floats your boat. but personally i think its creepy and gross. i mean my dad is only 20 years older than me. i could never be with some one who is older than my parents. what do you have in common? i bet you lost friends because they thought it was weird. does he have kids? if so they must be older than you. is it because of money? sorry, if it make you two happy and it is legal(your not a minor) then go for it, but i just think its gross.
