Is there an adaptor for Beta cassette to operate in VHS VCR?

My father-in-law left me a lot of Beta video cassettes and there is not a player. Do someone make an adaptor to operate them in a reqular VHS VCR?

No adapter, the beta tape is too thick to fit thru the door on a vhs. Best to check ebay and pawn shops etc to find an older working beta. Good luck

I would check a pawn shop or ebay to see if you can find a player, I think back in the 80s there were companies that would convert the tapes for you, but I don't know if they exist anymore.
