Honestly, I moved out when I was 17. It all depends on maturity. but what you might want to think about that I didnt is school. I was miserable the 5 years prior to my moving out. So I left as soon as I could. BUT now I wish that I had toughened up and gone to school while I was at home. Because this way I would be making more money now to afford the things I want. I am now 23 and have been on my own for 6 year. I am in college and wish that I had just done it while I was at home instead of having to work a 40 hour week and going to school 3/4 time in the evening.
Like I said I totatly understand where you are coming from and your frustrations. But I just hope that this advice will help you better than it did me at that point in time in my life. I didnt want to listen to my parent I just wanted to be away from them.
So just take a moment to really think about your future now and what is going to make your future best for you. It may be worth the misery short term than the pain of frustration that will be long term.

If you feel like you can, then I guess so, just make sure your prepared. Make sure you have a job and that your job brings in enough money to pay your bills. It's easier at home even if you do feel like your going though hell, just make sure that your ready, finish school, and go to collage , make sure your life is in order, before you make that big of a jump. It's hard out in the world today and home is one place you shouldn't take for granted.

as soon as you have the money, go for it. Be safe though. I am still living at home, and I'm 20, but my parents are awesome, I'm their baby and they don't want me to leave. my sis moved out when she turned 19, that lasted a couple months before things didn't work out with her roommates, so she came back, then she just moved out at 22 with her boyfriend. If things are uncomfortable at home, go for it, live your life, be happy and stand on your own two feet!

When you have a job that will pay well enough to pay the bills. If you have to struggle and end up moving back home, it will be worse. Maybe you could go to college and live in a dorm.

!7 if you have the financial means but, i think 18 is excellent, I was 18 and it helps u mature quicker and you learn responsibility. And hell, you'll have your "own" spot and can do your own thing without having anyone tell you how, and when to do it. Go for it!

I would say 18-19 but moving house is not a good decision... think about it first. That`s my advice :-)

I don't think it's an age thing it all depends on if you can survive on your own. What would be your income etc....

What do you mean by going through hell? is it just because you don't like the rules or are you being abused? please elaborate.

Whatever age you're ready and able to pay all the bills. Until then, respect for one's parents is a must.

unless the situation is dangerous, (beatings, molestation, etc,) give it till 18, or after graduation, besides minors can not sign leases or rent agreements, and minors are 17 and under.

If beatings or molestation are the hell referred to, get out now and go to the police, before it is too late!
