sometimes I feel what resembles a heartbeat in my lower abdomen, but it's not my pulse or the pulse of my baby as it's slower (approximately 1 every 2/3 seconds), it's an even rhythem and semi strong which goes on for a few minutes than disapears. It's kind of freaking me out and my next doctors appointment is in 5 days-so pls any suggestions what this is or if you have ever experienced this-thanks

Could be a Braxton Hicks contraction (if you are that far along), or that the baby has hiccups (hiccups can be felt every now and then). I remember that I went through the same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter. Most of the time, those little beats or pulses were hiccups. As I went farther along with the pregnancy, I would get little practice Braxton Hicks contractions and they sorta feel like little beats as well. It's nothing to worry about, so don't freak out. Just imagine your little one making those cute little hiccups inside your tummy, and that thought will make you smile. =)

Goodluck with your pregnancy!

It's probably the baby hiccuping. I had the same thing with my first baby and didn't put it together until right after she was born and started hiccuping as a newborn.

I had that a lot and it was the baby having hiccups. Good luck though because my doctor and a friend of mine said that once their born they will get hiccups a lot if they had them in utero and my daughter did.

I agree with the others...it's probably hiccups. My son had them all the time in the womb. It's an odd sensation but nothing to worry about.

Probably hiccups. My baby had them every day for the last two months of my pregnancy. It's actually kind of cute once you realize what they are.

Too bad everytime my daughter had one, she stuck her foot into my ribcage. Ow!

Depending on how far along you are, it is probably your baby having hiccups. It is a really strange sensation and nothing to worry about!!

Well, you didnt say how far you were. I would say that it sounds like the baby kicking. When your 3,4, months you feel little flutters in your lower abdomen, so thats probably what it is.
