I have an '02 Dodge Durango, and the headlights, interior lights blink. And most recently, the horn blows a short blast when I stop at a stop sign, red light, etc. I've been to a dealership twice, and they can't figure it out either. And they claim it is not safety related! It was manufactured in the US, maybe this is part of the problem. HELP please!

It sounds to me like a wiring harness short. My mother's van used to blow the horn when she turned corners. It turned out to be a short in the wiring harness that was activated when the steering wheel was turned.

In your case, I would guess that the braking system and the alarm system are the problem systems. It is highly labor intensive to find problems like this and most shops won't do it on warranty.

It is safety related, if the short is near fuel or other combustibles, it could easily start a fire.
