Alphabetical. That way I can tell at a quick glance if there is one missing. Also easier to find a specific CD I am looking for. I know some will say it's anal to alphabetize them, but it makes searching easier.

Always alphabetically, What other way is there for easily finding them?
If you have a lot of cd's I suppose putting them in Genre would make it too difficult to find them.
Alphabetised is my tried and tested method, It is important to me.

i've over 500 cd's. If they weren't sorted alphabetically i'd be looking thru them for hours for 1. the 5 that are in the cd player at any one time have their boxes on a small cd holder near the hi-fi... HOW SAD IS THAT?

I definitely put my cds and my dvds in alphabetical order. Obviously by artist name for cds and title for dvds. My friends laugh at me and say I'm obsessive compulsive, cause even the ones in my case to take in my jeep are in alphabetical order!!! Oh well, I just think it's easier to find them that way!

I put them in alphabetical order by artist and then each artist's cds are group by debut date.

Christmas and Patriotic music is separte from the every day music.

Makes them easier to find when I need them.

I used to do it in alphabetical order as I would know where in the stack it was. But that's all gone to pot now as my two year old is always taking them out and for quickness putting them back, I just stuff them in anywhere.
