I have to say I don't really understand why Nickelodeon had to split up into separate channels: Nick Gas, Nicktoons, The-N, etc. I think it was better when they had live action, nicktoons, gameshows, and obstacle type shows all on the one channel. It gave a lot more variety. Now Nickelodeon is mainly animated and some live action. They need more variety.

To get people to buy the expensive cable systems. Also some of those networks feature shows that are no longer on the regular network, so they save money on the networks by using shows from the 80s and 90s.
