It is an oppresion style form of govermant, we have poor people dying in the streets the worlds highest crime rate and lowest wages of any industrial nation we should switch to socialism ASAP

I don't know choose your poison. There are benefits to both economic structures. Though, capitalism seems to succeed on a grander scale, if you can over look the greed it breeds.
Basically, the fall of Rome came about from the "have and have nots".
Our country does try to balance economic monarchies. It is difficult, though and there are no hard or fast rules.
I do understand your point. I hope that one day things will get better, but we must use our minds to make it better. We can't just run around stripping our economic well being and the rest of everything be damned. Then we will all be in the streets, dieing.
If you can come up with a solution, I am all ears.

I agree that the utopia we all dream about is not present on planet earth.
I disagree with your outlook. Any honest read of historical records and an open-minded look at how populations fare throughout the world would lead to the resultant certainty that the human condition is best served in a capitalist society.
The suffering and early death of people served by socialist governments is documented and sad to see.
You accuse capitalists of being corrupt. Take a trip and try bribing a cop in Texas and a cop in Mexico; then tell everyone the result.

It is exchange of productivity for anothers productivity.

Look up Ayn Rand, and read some of her works. Vote libertarian. Dont just trust me, look it up and research it.
Besides the Government only has three purposes:
To protect its citizens from Forigen attack (Military)
To protect its Citizens from Domestic Problems (Police)
To Arbitrate conflicts domesticaly (Judicial System)
Social Problems are NOT the purpose of the Government, they are the problem of hte society.
The people should not be afriad of the government, the government should be afraid of its people.

No thanks, The poor of every other country want to come here because being poor in America is better than being middle class almost everywhere else.
Socialism is only a benefit for the lazy.

Just had a friend of mine come back after traveling to a socialistic
country, the poverty there and the crime rate far surpass America. If you are that set on socialism form of government then move to that country. I am so tired of people saying that our form of government doesn't work for it's citizens. It worked for my ancestors when they first came to this country and it is working today. How much you receive out of something is dependant on what your willing to invest.

You can also have capitialist dictatorships.
Most modern states are a blend of capitalism and socialism.
