toughest of question...top 4 players to chose with......
but i will still go with sachin n inzi......because of the fact that sachin is soo soo great and he has lesser flaws in his batting than ponting inzi n lara....he is one of the finest player of spin bowling....while inzi will go on to take the rsponsibilty...and he has a cool head on his shoulders...he absorbs the pressure well...and people should have no doubts on his batting abilities........
and the other player is again too classsy...but they both can be a gamble on a given day....lara lacks the sense of responsibilty...and ponting hardly finds himself in tough situations as he plays with australia....batting abilities r almost equal...but pressure handling and responsibilty lies more with ssachin n inzi.....and for those who say that inzi will get run out must know that out of 187 innings he has run out only 6 times...whic isless than many players who played more test n includees...steve waugh, mark waugh, atherton, stewart, dravid, miandad and wasim

I would have preferred Sachin and Poiting as the best pair. However, since I have to choose from the choice given, I
cnsider Lara and Pointing best opening pair. Though Inzammam no doubt a solid batsman, his running between the wicket is very poor and he will be instrumental in running out his partner

Sachin and Inzamam will be better pair.Both of them are class players and know each other's srength and weaknesses.Just because Inzamam is a poor runner does not conclude the pair can not be better in comparision.Lara and Ponting can not be consistent and will compare poorly.

Ponting ll do all the job and wait for his partner Lara to do whatever he wishes.....
Sachin n Inzy can never b gr8 partners, sachin whether bats well or not runs better inzy to his contrast will b completin only his first run while sachin wud hav finished his second run n wud b waitin for the third run call...

sachin & inzy are the best pair because both of them are very silent when it comes to the batting.both of them are not too much aggressive compare to lara and ricky.

Any pair containg inzamam cannot be good...coz he will either get himself run out and his partner.........in this case Lara & Ponting win...
