Movies aren't so much made to reflect life as it is, there's meant to reflect a more exciting life. Think, do they ever show people brushing their teeth? There are some independant films that do show a closer version of life, but the mainstream ones won't get money if the two good looking actors don't end up happy. The audience those movies are directed at are looking for light-hearted entertainment, not to leave the theater with a feeling of sadness because Sarah Jessica Parker didn't get the hunky guy.

Same reason that everyone in the movies look fabulous ...

Lots of talented people writing the eloquent words that come out of their perfectly painted lips and airbrushed figures.

Isn't it great?

Even when things don't work out, they all still look good.

Who would go to the movies if it were all ugly, miserable people who never get the guy (or girl), and who look like crap when they cry?

LOL.

because it's in the movies, it never goes that easy in real life..Those people don't actually care about each other or have a history together.

If we all had professional writers for our lives, we'd be able to work things out, too.

I'd like Aaron Sorkin to script my life.

Unfortunately there is no script in real life and when you're fed up, there is no director to yell: "CUT"
