When, it is clear that we are fighting those who are responsible for 9/11. Make no mistake..the insurgents we fight in Iraq are Islamic Extremists that if given the chance would cut your american head off .. Have we forgotten 9/11?

Read my question carefully. I'm not suggesting that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. I'm saying that the Islamic Extremists are there fighting us now. Who knows if Iraq did or didn't have anything to do with it... Do you really know?

I agree with you.
I'm in Iraq right now. I am a soldier and most of the other soldiers I know also agree.
As you stated Iraq had no direct involvement in 9/11. Was it not for 9/11 would we be in Iraq? Most likely not. We would still be living in la la land pretending our enemies didn't exist while they grew even stronger.

Hey did you forget that King George admitted at the start of the Iraq war that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11?
The only reason that Al-Queda is there now is because WE removed the person that was keeping them out.
Listen carefully, we had no reason to go there in the first place. The only reason that we are fighting people there is because they are defending their own country and their neighbors and Al-Queda are helping them. They have every right to attack our troops that are occupying their country.
If we had just stuck with fighting them in Afghanistan instead of creating more problems elsewhere we would be a lot further along on actually tracking down the people that actually did attack us instead of pissing people off and getting them to side with the extremists.
The war in Iraq has done nothing except unite our enemies against us, and that is suppose to make us safer.

The reason we're split is because we were lied to by our president and his people. That's reason enough for me. If he lied then, how do you know he's telling the truth now? You hope he is, that's all. But you don't know. The war in Afghanistan was never about getting bin Laden, it was to secure the country for oil and natural gas exploitation and profits. The same is true for Iraq. And oh BTW, that guy Saddam just happened to be the one who tried to kill his Dad.

there was NO islamic extremists in iraq before the US went in! why? because sadaam would have cut their heads off!!! all islamic extremists HATE sadaam... bush only created a bigger problem by going into iraq. despite this i feel we have a responsibility to clean up bush's mistake in iraq and if given the chance i would go there too and help my brothers but understand this my friend: iraq was NEVER involved with 9-11
fyi: extremists (from other muslim countries) only came into iraq after sadaam was gone and we were still there

They could have gone with the angle that, "things are going well but this is how we will make them better". If Bush were to give everybody a free house the Dems would find something wrong with it. Dems and liberals cannot understand how to stand by the people of the USA and fight to protect it. Some people are making a good living off the war and continued violence around the world .
HARD to stop people from profiting off war as long as profits are able to be made .
MAKE defense contracting non profit and limit salries to the same as senators for the ceo's and see if we still have policies that lead us into war .
