I have heard these lazy people brag about how they "beat the system" by borrowing the car of a handicapped relative so they could park in a spot meant for handicapped people. Then they become offended when I tell them that I sincerely hope they one day have a handicap of their oewn, so they can have their own permit (since obviously they are not greatful that they are not handicapped) and watch other able-bodied people do the same thing to them.

I am not talking about people I see that do not appear handicapped at first glance. I am talking about people that I hear bragging about how they borrowed their uncle's car, or their grandparent's car, etc, so they could use the handicapped space.

Hon, you labelled them correctly - they're pigs - self-indulgent, vile pigs. Don't say anything to them. Write down their license plate number and the description of their car, along with the time and date of the violation you've witnessed, and hand it over to mall security and the municipal police. You do it often enough and they'll start enforcing the "handicapped only" rule. Of course, if you do like I sometimes do and get artistic on their vehicle's finish with an oldfashioned can opener, well...just don't get caught!

Just once I'd like to be offered the chance to use whatever sharp object I'm handed and told I would not be arrested for scratching the handicap logo as deep as possible into their hood.

I agree only if they really are being dishonest..I am a disabled permit holder who has disabilities which are not obvious at first glance..The abuse, looks and sneers I sometimes get annoy me immensley then I feel sorry for them..For they do not know, my breasts are removed due to cancer, the chemotherapy ate the bones in my neck and it had to be rebuilt, I feel sorry for them, why?..because something might happen to them or someone they love one day and the way things are going, cars wont be affordable and therefore there wont be carparks for the disabled available when they need one..!!!

Please don't scratch my car! I have a lung disease and it is not easily detected. I have been accosted and had the police called! My permit is legal and for life! I look younger than I am . I had a woman start yelling at me [she thought I was younger than her I turned out to be 10 years older] She grabbed my arm and screamed and cursed. I look fine entering the store but by the time I have been in there about 5 minutes my lips turn a dusky blue. I drive a nice pickup truck small and low [ it is easier for me to get in and out,] I am not on disability my husband and I pay our own way. You don't have to be poor to have a permit! Don't be quick to judge!!

I usually always make some sort of comment when I catch them doing that. It's wrong, rude and extremely lazy.
