Because Republicans tacked onto the bill several measures that would have given massive tax cuts to the rich. Democrats introduced the bill, then republicans killed it with amendments. Once an amendment is tacked on, it is no longer the same bill and it is perfectly valid for an individual to change their vote on it.

Because it was tied to a decrease in taxes on estates i think, it may have been just taxes in general for the top of the tax bracket, but im pretty sure it was the estate tax.dirty trick those nasty republicans pulled with that one. try again.

The government and the people are seperate. It doesnt matter what people of the government say they are, they arent serving the people anyways so it doesnt matter. screw them all
