Download your pictures to your picture file.
Type your text, then just paste the picture where you want it. Then continue on your text farther down.
You can also choose to do your word document in columns, putting your picture wherever you please.
Just experiment a bit...you'll get the hang of it in no time. I didn't know a thing about this, but managed to produce a poster for my grandson's class last year (when his supposedly "expert" dad couldn't).

Open the word document and put the cursor where you want the JPEG file to go. Click on INSERT on top menu. When menu opens click on PICTURE and then FROM FILE. Go to the JPEG file's location on disk and then click OK to accept it. Picture will go where cursor was set. You can then click on the picture to get edit command like resize ot move etc.

Quite simple
1. Open new document and from the menu insert- insert the picture from the file (say inyour case jpg or what ever)
2. Thats the end and you get your picture in the document

Put in your text, and, when you get to where you want to put a jpeg, go to insert, find graphics, or whatever it calls for, and insert it.. I don't use Word much, but, that's the basic way.
