my mother was bite by a big dog and it killed her little dog....?

this 60+ lb dog attacked my mother and killed her 6 lb maltese and then the big dog bite its owner. the big dogs owner is now trying to say the little 6 lb dog bite her first , is there a way to tell which dog bite her? the animal control dept. is doing nothing to the big dog even though it killed a dog and attacked my mother. any advise? this happened in flordia.

the other lady is trying to sue my mother, saying her little dog bit her first. there are eye witnesses. she was not bite at my mothers house, where she was walking and failed to control her dog , when it took off after my mom and her dog in my moms yard, she had to have been bite later. blood hungy dog! the police are not doing anything for my mother, and the private park, wont kick that dog out either , its a 55+ park and they have a 20lb limit and this dog is there unapproved and they still wont do anything.

If this had happened in New York, the big dog would have been put down and the owner fined! You should have filed a police report. You may still be able to. I would get a lawyer and sue those people. You would win.

I've been in this situation before. My dog is a chihuahua terrier mix and the other dog was a pit bull mix.

since the police wont do anything, then you have no alternative, but to seek private counsel. or talk with the sgt at the police department.
