She was an aspiring actress who was murdered (cut in half), in LA. The person who did it is probably long dead, as that happened 40 to 50 years ago.

Elizabeth Short, better known as the Black Dahlia, was the victim of a murder in 1947. She was born July 29, 1924 and died January 15, 1947.
Short was last seen alive on the evening of January 9, 1947, in the lobby of the Biltmore Hotel at 5th Street and Olive in downtown Los Angeles. She was 22 years old.

On January 15, 1947, her body was discovered in a vacant lot of the 3800 block of South Norton Avenue in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, cut in half at the waist and mutilated.

According to newspaper reports shortly after the murder, Short received the nickname Black Dahlia at a Long Beach drugstore in the summer of 1946, as a play on the then-current movie The Blue Dahlia, starring Alan Ladd and Veronica Lake. Los Angeles County district attorney investigators' reports state the nickname was invented by newspaper reporters covering the murder. In either case, Short was not generally known as the "Black Dahlia" in life

She was an aspiring actress who was brutally murdered, she was cut in half and beaten horribly. Her blood was drained before her body was dumped along a road in a develping neighborhood. There has been much speculation as to who murdered her. It appeared she might have been somewhat permiscuous. Anywhoo, almost all of the original case files have gone missing, so any evidence they might have had to do DNA testing is now gone.

Elizabeth Short was her name.

She was murdered out in California. The killer managed to get away somehow. It was a very greusome murder. The killer cut her from ear to ear along the mouth so that it gave her the most disturbing grin. Her stomach was so cut up that her body was in two pieces. There were organs out of place and things where they shouldn't have been. Look around on the internet for more. Any more details and I'll get reported for adult content.

Elizabeth Short. She was an actress in the 40's and received the nickname because of her black hair and because she liked to dress in all black.

Her murder is a mystery because someone wanted it to be and paid enough to keep it quiet. It was thought that a surgeon killed her because of how she was cut up.

She was an upcoming model and actress in the late 1940's. Someone murdered her, by cutting her in half, and stuffing her vagina with grass. They had suspects, but they all had alibis! And besides, she was sleeping with a lot of men. Some men, even had wives. And some say she was a prostitute.
