Just say no.

It is okay to say no. You dont have to have a reason. If she stops being your friend cuz you say no, then is she really a friend? The way she reacts or feels after you say no is not your problem. What is your problem is letting others make you feel pressured to say yes. So if you dont want to then all you have to do is say no. Once you start saying no it gets easier. Believe me, my mom told me. :) She went threw what you are going threw with me and my kids.

I would simply tell her what you told us! Tell her nicely that you love her kid and she is a super kid- but you have a very full schedule and would like some down time and you just cannot babysit all the time. In an emergency or if she has a wedding to attend- planned in the future so u have notice- sure why not? But on a regular basis? Does she even offer to pay you? It sounds like she is taking you and your friendship for granted,. Talk to her and tell her how u feel! Friends will understand completely!

Well in that case, why not rotate? I see this as an opportunity, for yourself to relax once in a while. Ask her to take care of your kid too, and she can't say no, cause, she has to return the favour too, right? If you don't want you kid to be babysit by her, then I guess, in the future, you have to tell her that you have other plans of your own (relaxing in a tub filled with rose petals and candles, listening to soothing music etc), other than that, you can offer her someone else who will do the job for a fee. Nothing in this world is free, you know?

Repeat after me......NO, once again...NO ! Practice it in front of the mirror.
Explain to your friend that you admire her working 2 jobs, but that you cannot continue to keep her child unless she returns the favor and watches yours....when the shoe is on the other foot, friends like her will usually leave you alone.
By the way, she keeps asking simply because she know you won't refuse.
You have to stand up for yourself!

By just saying a polite "NO"
You seem to think it is necessary for you to explain why. It isn't, as you have your own life and if your fiiend can't accept that ...Oh Well.
It is her job to explain why you need to sit for her ... not vice-verses

N. O. simply. and by the way a friend is someone who is considerate, and cares about people other than themselves, think about it.

She's just using you. Don't be rude, but don't worry about hurting her feelings either. Just tell her you can't do it anymore.
