I am a Dutch guy living in Bali, Indonesia and I have a new son coming. I need to name him. I have drawn a total blank - time is running out, can you please suggest a good name for a Dutch/Indonesian boy?

I can't but I can give you good guidelines:
1) Choose a name that has a sound meaning.
2) Do not pick a name the child will have to fight people his entire life, i.e. Luander Evander Sanders.
3) Think of the possibility of their reaching a pinnacle in their life and having the name you provided. Will it be respectable or something they'll have to change.
4) Choose a name that makes them proud and one if it is not different, at least it is sensible.

Izaak, Jakob, Kyler are some good Dutch names.

Kerson is an Indonesian name. It would go well as a middle name.

Jakob Kerson sounds nice. or Kerson Jakob for that matter.

Here is a good site. Just click on the country of origin and it will give you some from there: http://www.babynamenetwork.com/index.cfm

My two favorite Dutch names for boys are Ryker and Schuyler. Ryker is a surname form of Richard and Schuyler means shield, scholar.

Good luck on your name search!
